I did drop off my youngest for the first day of preschool. I didn't cry but I did go get that drink at Starbucks. And sipped very slowly. In my empty car. I didn't expect it to feel like... an accomplishment. But boy did it ever. I felt like I did after climbing Pike's Peak. Like I had MADE IT.
There's me up there. A skinny kid who thought everything was easy. "I'll just climb this mountain. No sweat." "I'll just have four kids and they'll practically raise themselves!" I thought I was going to die on that mountain and I thought I'd never make it to drop my youngest off at preschool.
If you are sending yours off for their first day somewhere, I hope you get that sense of accomplishment too. It's sweet. If no one else says it to you, allow me... "Good job, Mama!"
And if you're in the middle of diapers and bottles and are wearing the same shirt for the 3rd day in a row... let me cheer you on. You can do this. Just keep going. You don't have to set a record, don't have to win a medal, just put one foot in front of the other.
And if you're homeschooling... don't even get me started. You. rock.
Anyhoo... I've been picking up bits of fabric again. Wanna see?
I'm feeling all things autumn and picking up some vintage fabrics in warm colors.
I'm hoping to turn these into a quick quilt, but when is a quilt ever quick.
I'm working on more preschool printables too but I'd love to know... what would you like to see? Anything you need and can't find?
Here's wishing you a little pep in your step today and a view from the top.
