I did manage to jump on the train for the holiday tag-a-long going on with Kristyne at Pretty By Hand and Amy at NanaCompany. I'm completely addicted to making these sweet little tags. While they are making beautiful holiday tags, I made some that will be hanging around all year, so they aren't necessarily holiday tags. This was my first...
I was trying a more rustic look with the embroidery and it didn't work out so hot. I was also using the gromet tool wrong (feel free to laugh). I used it upside down (which was impossibly difficult to do) until I figured out I was doing it wrong and how easy it was when I turned it the right way. I'll excuse myself by explaining that it was midnight again when I was sewing but truth be told, I'm just as capable of these silly mistakes at noon.
I reverted to my tried and true embroidery for the second. Much better I think...
I still hadn't figured out how to get all the topstitching right but finally got it right on the last one for Olivia.
There they are, a little bit of sweetness for my girls. I hope you are enjoying the holidays this year too!
Here's wishing you something handmade this year.

So darling! You could eventually fill a tree with these; your kids or loved ones would have a sweet remembrance.
